An interesting observation I made from my actual results from the PMAI is that I scored very low as a Seeker. A Seeker is someone that is adventurous, independent, and self-sufficient. Although I do consider myself a bit adventurous, I am not very independent or self-sufficient so I am not surprised that I scored low in this category. The interesting thing to me is that I have recently been thinking about becoming more of a Seeker type. For the past few days I have been thinking about getting a job and saving all the money in order to travel the world, even if I have to do it alone. Not really having thought thoroughly about myself lacking Seeker qualities, I wonder if I have been seriously considering this because subconsciously I know that I am not very independent or self-sufficient. Then again, it could also just be because I have never been out of the country and want to travel very badly. Either way, after reaching my goal of traveling outside of the country, I think I will be able to put some more points under the Seeker category.

Hey Fabes haha!
ReplyDeleteI was just checking out your blog because you are afterall the blog master.
I really like this post you made about your shadow archetype.
Most people tend to talk about their good/stronger qualities and elaborate on those, but instead you tackled your lower scoring archetype and discussed your lack of seeker. First of all, you must must must travel no matter what. Its probably better if you go at it alone or with 1-2 companions, so that you have the freedom to do what you choose. Secondly, yes I will backpack Europe with you. JK, but seriously, I WILL! Third, in case you were wondering I scored lowest on the orphan part thingy. I was really confused when I was reading about my shadow archetype bc the breakdown is meant for those who DO relate, but if it is your shadow, do you interpret the opposite? What I just said might have made no sense but it makes no sense in my head so it is even more challenging to write it down.
Anywho, best of luck on your leadership journey and ill see u in class on Tuesday.
LATE!

I think you interpreted the PMAI score really well especially after Lori explained to us that the PMAI is supposed to describe where you are at now in your life. I think its awesome that your score showed that you are getting ready to become a Seeker. Travelling is so much fun and an awesome experience so I think you should definitely do it, like Daniel said. I also got a much better understanding of what exactly a shadow archetype is. Like Daniel, I was also confused on how to interpret a shadow archetype, so I didn't really write too much about it. Now that I have read your blog it make so much more sense that a shadow archetype can be something that you lack right now but are beginning to develop or to become. Thanks for teaching me! :)
